99-03 suspension differences

Is there a change in the rear shackle on the front suspension of a 99-03 4x4 SD?

I've only seen them mount through the frame. I spoke with a guy with a OBS and he did a SD axle and spring swap. He had a really short shackle on the rear of the front spring that didn't go through the frame. He said it was a stock SD shackle:shrug:

My brother has a 99 f250 and I have an 04 f350 srw and both suspensions are the same. As far as the way the springs mount anyway.

they never changed that part of the SD suspension at all.

What are you trying to do??? If trying to put a D60 in we have kits for any D60 from OBS to '10 axles..PM me if I can help.

I'm trying to get away from the rear shackle hanging down where I drag it on everything.

Not going to happen, no matter what suspension you go to you will have a rear shackle, link mounts something to locate the axle..need more clearance for offroading...taller tires is the only way to get belly clearance.

You can gain clearance by switching to Unimog axles.

That would be pimpin!
