Ok guys, just wanted to see what y'all think this may be. The truck has a really long crank when cold or hot. When I first try to start it it spins over but makes no attempt to crank. After about 30 seconds the injectors start to click and probably about after another 30 seconds the it starts to hit on a few cylinders.

When I started it today instead of just cranking on it for a long time, I hit it with starting fluid and it fired off and idled fine at ~1100 psi. This is where this vid picks up.

After the third time I rev it up you can see the PSI drop down to ~1000 then just snap down to ~400. It is being held on the floor and will only rev to ~800 and will die if I let off. After it dies, I can crank on it but it will only build ~400 PSI and do the same as I described earlier.

What do you think? HPOP, IPR, ICP?

I did not check oil level, will check in the morning

I dont have a way to scan for codes

And this is actually a different truck of mine that I just got and started working on, but it does sound like what wacker was talking about. When its cold, I can crank on it for a few seconds, then hit it with ether and it will fire off and idle fine, then as it warms up it gives me problems. Ill cold start it again in the morning to verify and just let it idle and see if it dies.

Thanks guys will check tomorrow and check back in.

Just to update this, I swapped the pump out with a good one and it fixed the issue. Cranked it for about 2-3 seconds to prime the HPOP and it fired right up and ran fine.
