I took the (reverse thread) nut off of the Gear on the HPFP but I’m having a hell of a time removing the gear from the pump.

Should it be this hard to remove? Am I missing something?

i take a chunk of hardwood and a light tap of a hammer on the shaft. Make sure the pump bolts are unthreaded a few turns before doing it though.

Thank you guys for your input. I tried the pry bar to no avail but got it to pop right off with a puller (the one circled in blue).

I put the Pump in a vise, placed the two "arms" over the outside of the gear (over the teeth) and it took quite a bit of force but it popped right off without damaging anything.

*Just be ready for it to 'POP' off. It would be wise to place something soft under the gear to catch it when it does come off.
