Haha wasn’t the first time I was a dumb (__!__) - wife says I’m a fool all the time for it.

Yeah these diesels will set you back real quick. I also saved that kit you linked in my favorites as well but I’m leaning towards simplicity. Less gauges the better.

Yeah that does look pretty sweet but too much eye candy for me so I bought the three pod at riff raff and installed it near and front of the driver knee.

O if you haven’t already don’t so, do the aih ****** and buy the plug also at riffraff or Ebay but I like supporting clay so I bought it from him - that guy is genuine and will help even if you don’t buy chit from him. So makes me partial getting stuff from riffraff cuz I like people like that.

I promise I'm not on DieselSite's payroll, but with their effort to go the extra mile for the customer to help ease install, and with an instruction book that's more detailed and loaded with pics than any instructions I've ever seen. How can I not brag on them, I love those guys.

those gauges are crap tbh, would've been better to get a CTS2 on black friday. Love the suspension work tho

Thanks, I’ll see how these turn out and may replace one by one with auto meters or something of more quality.

Just when I talk myself out of doing a suspension upgrade to my truck I see a thread like this. Really like what you did with the front axle and keeping the rear with the 08 springs.

If you don't mind my asking. What was your budget for suspension parts including all the pmf stuff?

Sorry to reply so late, I must have missed this post.

So I’ll tell y’all what I spent on everything, but don’t tell my wife....


Conversion Brackets = $100 (salvage yard)
Axles = $500
Front Dana 60 parts = $1400
2” hub centric spacers for rear = $370
Complete PMF order shipped = $4921
Fasteners needed from Ford = approx $250
Other random hardware = approx $100

Approximate total = $7641

Granted, some of this could have been done a lot cheaper. The route I went with the PMF parts drove the cost up a lot. You could keep your factory rear springs and go with blocks in the rear and save roughly $1500. I also opted for the heavy duty drag-link, and 08+ front sway bar conversion links. Which together is roughly $600. So don’t let the total scare you away from doing the swap. There is definitely a lot cheaper routes to go with the suspension. I was just wanting to go with something different and good quality. I think I succeeded with both, but I paid the price for it too.

My original plan was to use stock springs and radius arms for the front and run a 2.5” coil spacer. For the rear I was gonna buy the PMF conversion hangers and run a set of 14’ leafs I picked up for 75 bucks and use a block. This obviously all went out the window once I started spending money.

Finally got everything back together over the weekend. I’ve probably put a couple hundred miles on it and couldn’t be happier, like driving a different truck.

The CPR fuel system went on without any issues, but I will say installing the turbo was a pain. I couldn’t get the turbo to line up with the collector to save my life. I spent 6 hours trying different things. Turns out I just needed another set of hands. I had my dad come over the next morning and we had it together and torqued in literally 10 min. So if your doing a turbo install for the first time, do yourself a favor and get a buddy to come give you a hand with the alignment portion.

Love everything you did to this truck! I’m planning on doing the 08+ rear leaf spring swap and a few other suspension changes, overall how much better is the ride and would you recommend what you’ve done?

10-4 . Wanted two but they only had the display so I took it and ran with it.

Btw - best jack iver ever purchased besides my air jack (sob lifts the F350 over 36” in 30 sec haha)!
