Injector bore

Hi Guys,

I have and engine that has been on the stand for some years with the injectors out. But injector bore were lubed wit engine oil. Now it has some light surface rust. Will the injector core brush kit remove this or should I use fine emery cloth to get it off?

I would replace them. Ifg I had any questions about them I would replace them.

You want him to replace the cylinder head? I dont think hes talking about rust on the cup.

The surface rust are on the bore it self not the cups.

Brake clean on a green scotch Brite pad, done.

If you are worried about crap falling in the cylinder while cleaning the bore, use a compression tester adapter to plumb compressed air into the cylinder using a regulator. A small flow of air coming out of the injector hole will blow the crap out while working, instead of letting it fall in.
