So truck keeps deciding to shut off for no reason while driving and throws P0089 and P0093.

The P0089 causes the rail pressure to start jumping around under throttle and the P0093 kills the truck. Only thing is there is no fuel leak coming from anywhere on the truck so I'm thinking there's a bad sensor in the high pressure system. I've read but not confirmed these sensor go bad every so often especially if you use biodiesel.

So the 3 things I think could be the issue ,and correct me if I'm wrong because I'm no expert, would be the VCV, FRP sensor, or the PCV.

VCV = Volume Control Valve

FRP = Fuel Rail Pressure sensor

PCV = Pressure Control Valve

Anybody have some experience changing these out? Obviously the 2 on the fuel rail are threaded it's just a matter of getting to them. The VCV on top of the pump is the one I'm not sure of. I cant imagine it's too hard to get to but any input on swapping these out would be greatly appreciated. If there's a way to track down the culprit that's better than buying new sensors let me know.

It's the PCV Pete. I've seen many of them have to be replaced including mine last week.

Yeah 3rd person to tell me that. I guess I was getting confused because I didn't realize "Fuel Pressure Regulator 1" was referring to the PCV. Kept looking through the schematic trying to figure it out. Thanks for the input.

Hopefully get to it next weekend. Pretty sketchy going down a curvy mountain road and the truck dies.

I'll post some pics when I get around to changed it out for people curious as well.

It's easiest to get to it from the the inner fender by the way. Just remove the inner fender then there's a small heat shield covering the rail and valve cover.
