06 5R110 Transgo shift kit help

Has anyone installed, recently, the transgo shift kit for the 5R110? How hard is it to do, any advice while performing the task? The shop around me wants $350 just to install it even though the trans is already pulled and the kit is already purchased. The instructions that come with it, to me, aren't much help. Any help or advice is appreciated!!

new, updated solenoids and some quality tuning will do more for you than any transgo...

@sootie thats what I thought with the last built trans I had done with new solenoids and ******** tuning but yet again after 20k miles it fried.

what happened to the trans this time? hard to beat oem noids

Fried it. Put truck in reverse and the truck drives forward only when I get up to 3500rpm. Thats with a built trans and billet suncoast convertor
