Lpfp question

On these trucks low pressure pumps, how is the fuel regulated? Looking into installing one of these on my obs. Need a new fuel pump, and a pre filter setup. I do have a riff raff frx on the truck, not a normal regulated return, but serves the same purpose. If this needs to be posted in the 7.3 section, sorry. Figured this would be better for pump info.

I’m assuming the low pressure supply is regulated internally. When I installed an aftermarket LPFP I had to run a pressure regulator at that point...

Someone on this site will know for sure. I have done research. Found several people saying it can output a pretty broad range of fuel pressure, but that doesn't explain whether or not it is internally regulated.
