Heck, the last 2 years I haven't got a buck. And most of my hunting is done from the ground, I've only taken about 3 from a stand and gobs and gobs from the ground; with bow and firearm. I won't say deer are extremely smart, but I believe their senses are very sharp. I know if get a deer 5yrds from me, I've done something right. May not shoot it, but I still get a rush when they are that close. Can't wait to get my kids into hunting.

On another note if the govt deems we don't need to hunt, then we don't need guns either.....right?

You guys seen that new potential world record buck taken in Tennessee recently?? 47ptr, 300+"

I saw it on the local news about a week ago. I may know where it was taken and have had some friends hunting in the area... I'd be happy just to get this guy on my property- and maybe a good picture. He's been a little camera shy lol

I saw that the other day. Already heard there's skepticism about it...that kind of stuff always comes up when such a large deer is taken. It's a big deer no doubt...but to me doesn't look "world record big". If it's legit, good for the kid.

Doesn't have any mass. It'll gross a ton from all the abnormal points but if he had mass he might be a world record.

I'm sure a few of you can name the location.....

Had some time to kill before we checked in to the hotel, so ran up to Lookout Mtn. First time the kids had been up there.

Yeah there's always going to be someone who doesn't believe it or just running their mouth. And I agree it doesn't look it but either way he got the state record by a long shot. So that's pretty cool.

Nevermind. Not worth it.
