Luckily it isn't a drivability issue. Just annoying

Only other issue is a squeak out of the driver side tire. It's got a squeak that comes and goes. If I drive 50miles and park, then come back out and drive it, it's there. You can only hear it while driving slow in a parking lot.

Being I'm thinking it comes and goes from heat. I hope it's not a bearing issue..

And of course it didn't do it at ALL when I brought it to ford...

Pisses me off when a girl says why are your brakes squeaking while in the truck.

Also, it squeaked before I installed my old CARLI lift lol

???? Doesn't help lol does the sound come from the front of the truck or back?

like i said, i can't pinpoint it.. it sounds like a break dust shield that alters front to rear. so, "sure" answered the question front or rear.. or both would be a better answer.

So update, it's been 10k since I did the H&S fuel filter upgrade.

Ordering a new fuel filter (I change every 10k) and was talking with Dallas @H&S yesterday.

He hasn't had a 6.7 whine at idle since going to his filter upgrade.

I'm just special I guess, funny thing is, if I tap the pedal to 1k rpm at idle it goes away.

Dallas suggested I redo the Teflon on all the connections in the filter base. Doing that soon and will report back if it fixes it.

I did only use Teflon paste, I'll try the tape AND paste this time.

Will post my results.

My 6.7 does it from time to time with the h&s filter up grade. I have also ordered a new filter to see if that'll solve it. Keep us posted on what you find

Mine is a 2013, I have a FASS lift pump installed too I don't know if that makes a difference. But I didn't notice it all summer but now that the weather is cold it sounds horrible until the fuel warms up.

Guys - just had this exact issue after changing both filters.

It was definitely coming from the engine mounted fuel filter. I could feel it buzzing.

I redid the priming procedure and still made the noise.

Just for shuts a giggles I went under the truck while it was running and cracked open the yellow drain knob on the low pressure pump/separator and it immediately stopped the noise.

Must have purged any remaining air out.

doesn't it suck air when you open that with it running? I thought the pre filter is on the suction side of the pump?

You would think so but it must not. Maybe the pushing through of fuel causes enough pressure to purge it.

I tried everything and that was the last thing I could think of and it immediately stopped the noise and it never came back.
