I have a chance to swap my current 6.4l with 114k that has been down in my driveway 5 months originally started from a oil cooler that is now a no start issue. I have swapped hpfp/hpop wire looms and harnesses, injectors, and tired of throwing parts.
The engine from the donor truck is at 70k miles and is complete with no core. Would the truck be worth more money now that the engine is newer/lower mileage? Any other things to know when doing a swap?
Thank you

probably less money because people get nervous about what happened to the engine in the first place

If the whole truck were to have 70k miles yes, the fact that the motor has been swapped will probably deter people more than anything. Not saying it isn't worth doing, but most people looking into buying a truck are not all that informed on things like these and will most likely see it as a sign of future problems.

yup, selling my beautiful 08 King ranch with 130k on the truck and 1,000 on a FORD long block was depressing :(

by all means swap the engine... especially if it means the truck now runs! LOL

But I'd almost say don't even mention the engine
