I have a DC Power alternator. It has worked well. When the regulator went out, they replaced it in 15 minutes, thankfully I am reasonably local, service and warranty is top notch.

Go with the bigger frame alt as it will make more juice at idle.

x2 on the large case alternator. That's what I did after my Ford reman one went out shortly after I had replaced the original one.

I’ve had good luck with the large case Bosch alternator with lifetime warranty on amazon and run it with a 58mm pulley.
