Cruise control downshifting

On my 2016 Dually, when I'm towing my trailer and have the cruise set at 70, the trans would downshift going down steep hills. I know it's needed on some steep/long hills but other hills it's not needed.

Is there anyway of preventing the downshifting w/o turning the cruise off? I've tried both ways with Tow/Haul on and off.

It's cruise control that is trying to keep your truck from speeding. If you don't want it to downshift to reduce speed turn cruise off and let it go.

Put it in Manual mode. By far the easiest to lock into a gear you want when towing. My trucks locked in 5th the whole time when towing...
