I know this has been done, but does anyone know how difficult the Irate T 4 kit is to install. I just ordered the kit and it should be here Friday. Still contemplating turbo choices. Stuck between the 366 with a billet wheel or the new S369. I'm also thinking 238/100's from Full Force. I do tow heavy tho and elevation here in NM is 5700 to 9500'. Tired of watching the EGT guage. Will a 238/100 run too hot pulling 13000 lbs? Will the 369 light good at altitude? My core support is cracked so I'm getting my new one ready to install with Jakes kit. How much cussing should I expect. Thanks in advance PSA

I run 238/200's with a s468 and pull other diesel trucks around on a trailer and EGT's are not an issue.

I've heard the s369 is supposed to work great with 100% nozzles, but I have not messed with one.

The down pipe is the biggest pain during the installation. The new setup is much better to work with.

There has been a lot of great feedback on the BASB.

I heard Jake made some changes, just not sure what they were. I know all kits are 304 now which is really cool. Vehicles in this part of the country do not rust, but 304 beats mild steel any day. Getting excited. Just gonna order the s369 install it and then order the 238/100's. I'm tired of driving by the EGT gauge. It wants to keep going but 1300* comes pretty quick then I'm forced to drop a gear.

Spend time with your tuner. 100% nozzles, it shouldn't be a problem controlling egts with any appropriately sized turbo.
Jump to a 200% nozzle, it'll only help with egts, as long as your not trying to make a big hp number doing it.

It is a 95 7.3. Adrenaline HPOP, K&N, Diamond Eye exhaust, ZF5-S47, Southbend CON OFE, 4.10 gears, Irate e-fuel with regulated return/fuelbowl ******. So a 200% nozzle would lower EGT's even more?

*potentially lower
Bigger nozzles require less time to inject the same amount of fuel i.e.make the same hp.
Like I said, talk to your tuner, it's easier to get things hot due to overfuelling. He may only recommend a 100% nozzle, depending on his comfort level.
As far as turbo, I'm curious about the 369.

Bigger nozzles definitely towed cooler for me as well, and all but down pipe was pretty easy. Not sure wich SB clutch yours is rated at, but my SB con ofe (475 rating I think) was slipping in higher tunes with just 175/100s

06-6.0l, studded, reworked heads, egr ******, blue spring mod, 6.4 banjos, dummy plugs, stand pipe, upgraded stc fitting, New oil cooler, New ipr, New icp, atlas 40 FICM, stage 1 powermax, and Looney wild, 325/65R18

What turbine housing are you running?

To the OP: If the truck is going to be primarily used for towing, I would look into a smaller turbo such as a basb or the 364.5 sxe. If you want to make a little more power and still tow I think the 369 would be a good turbo. For a while there the 468 was the turbo of choice for 7.3's. It's a little different animal though with the bigger turbine wheel. You also run into some fitment issues on obs trucks.

With the sxe line being new, I don't think a lot of guys have first hand experience with the 369 on a 7.3. I would definitely talk to your tuner though and get the right combination of injector size, nozzle, turbo and turbine housing.

Definitely look into 200% nozzles. If you do some searches on the forum you should find some older threads talking about the benefits of 200% nozzles. Tuning has come a long way on these old dinosaurs. I plan on putting 200% nozzles on my injectors over the winter.

Ok your towing heavy? You need to think about what injectors will work for you and still keep your engine alive. If it's a primary tow rig I would not go to a 238-250 cc injectors. I would do some 160/100's or 175/80's or 180/100's. Get a 64.5sxe or a billet 366 with a .91 exhaust housing. Then have it live tuned and tow away.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I tow heavy about once or twice a month ( 10,000-13,000 lbs). This truck is mostly used as a DD/parts chaser. But gets worked really well also. Jake said the S369 spools like a S366 but flows like a S467 up top. It comes with a 360* thrust bearing and a billet wheel. Sounds like the best of both worlds, but idk.

200% nozzles and a 1.10 AR S467.7 is a towing beast up to 4k' with anything you hook the truck too....above 4k'....I'd want either a slightly tighter turbine housing (1.00 or .90) with S467.7, or a smaller turbo like that 64.5.

200% nozzles will demand less of your HPOP system than 100%'ers for the same power level too....

About the only compromise you'd make from 100% to 200% is idle resolution, and cold start/weather start up & idle haze.

My 2 cents for free. There's lots of experience on here, that might state otherwise...So...

Best bet is to be sure your injector builder & tuner are all in love with your inj/turbo combo & intended use of the truck.

Or better yet...find a local forum member that has a combo close to what you're after...put a $20 bill in his tank, & ask for a spin. Be the best $20 you spend on your build.
