Strolling through Google looking at 5" exhaust and across this picture. Reason it caught my eye was it's a oval tip, 5", and chrome that came out at the same angle the oem exhaust did. I don't particularly care for the angle cut tips that are pointed more at a angle away from the tire and it seems nobody makes a 5" tip non angle cut that's 5" Id and 5" od.

I don't care for the Cummins fad of tips you can throw a body in (exaggeration) and the 5" is just right.

Any help?

There is one they sell on Ebay like this but it Is only a 6" that I have found.

If it wasn't for the 6" outlet I'd be more than pleased with that. That extra inch is enough to bother me, I know I know, too particular.

I may have to cut a section off and send it to be powder coated a silver or have it dipped in chrome. Then buy a 5" to 5" exhaust adapter to re-connect the two pieces. I don't know of anybody than can flare a 5" pipe to 5.25" so I can use a regular band clamp.

We have salt here and doesn't take long to change to rust colored.

Found another solution (looking for feedback)

I noticed the kenworth's have a 5" elbow on them with a flared end where it connects to the mid pipe. And found this at online chrome shop

As long as the pipe after the muffler would be straight and at the right angle. Which is why I haven't pulled the trigger on an exhaust just yet

I think you need to be looking at a 45 degree instead of a 90 degree. If you look at your first pic, it looks like more of a 45

I've found a couple, but most just galvanized.

Hypothetically would it hinder any performance to insert a reducer at the end of the exhaust to accept a 4" inlet, 5" outlet tip?

Seems like a easier way to ensure the finished look I want. Or would it alter the exhaust sound?

It's gonna be for a 5" I think I may just go with a reducer since I found them widely available unless I can find a 5 inch straight cut that's 5 inch on the outside as well.

5 inch exhaust to a 5" to 4" reducer to a 4" to 5" exhaust tip. Unless I can find thay tip
