I'm assuming you are looking at the 7.3 and not the v10.
With the amount of miles id look for boost leaks. And really work the trans if it is still the origional. These things weigh quite a bit. The suspension is the MAJOR weak point on the ex. If you buy it I would give cary a call for the suspension.

i'm not in the rust belt so i cant comment on rust issues. in all my experience with buying any rig, the biggest thing i look for is maintenance history. ive been burned a few times on rigs that "were well taken care of". if the seller doesent have a book of maintenance history, i simply will not buy. im not saying that everyone should work that way, but that is how i operate after learning the hard way a few times. when i bought my ex, the guy had a VERY detailed maintenance history dating back to when he bought it with 40k on the odo. itemized down to almost every nut and bolt. so i had no reservations buying a rig that had 155k on the clock.
