I built this intake and I am ready for paint. I want to smooth out my welds with body filler or something and I don't know what to use. Will he heat of the engine shrink the bondo? If so what should I use. Or should I just put a good coat of paint on it and call it good.

Man I love your work, looks great. I'd just slap some paint and call it good. I like seeing welds but that's my opinion.

Thank You. I like doing things outside the box.
I like to see welds also, but not my mig welds. Had to weld some leaks up. did grind off the high spots and it will look ok in just paint.

What about using something more like an epoxy? Like maybe JB weld to fill them in. Might react better to heat.

That looks wicked, nice job. I've seen worse that just gets painted and sold so I would just paint it. On a side not what did you use for all your hard lines any link?

I just bought stainless steel lines from a local hyd shop. bought a good line bender and a flaring tool.
I have almost 10,000 miles on these lines so far and no cracks or leaks. If you look close I also replaced my HPOP hoses with steel lines.

I'd love to see this engine in person so I could trace all those steel lines and check out that twin setup, very very cool setup. Great Job Man.

Chris, didn't know you did the hpop lines in stainless as well. No issues with that? What size? What about fittings?

no problems what so ever. i just used heavy wall 3/8 stainless steel. used 3/8 JIC fittings and flared the ends to 37 degre, used a flare sleeve and nut. got about 8,000 miles on the set up as of now.
