Default Transmission question

I was pulling a gooseneck today empty and I got on it and the transmission was in 4th gear and it down shift into third and made a serious squall noise ??? Let off and tried again did it again? It did tht noise three times than a drove easy for bout a mile pulled into my place for lunch..checked the trans oil after lunch it was fine. Tried to get it to make tht noise again and I can't. Is this normal? The truck is stock with 97000 miles on it.

That's slipping clutches. The more times you do it, the shorter your trans life will be.

Also you may want to post in the 6.7 section
