Default Hp Tuners

Anyone have any experience with the hp tuners software? Ive heard there is actually access to pw tables, and that its a hell of a lot easier to tune with. Like damn near common rail tuneability.

Im interested, as tuning my own stuff would be cool, but with all the guessing/fooling and from what i understand basically pain in the ass tuning software of sct, im a little scared to try.

I keep hearing it is great for the ficm tables... but not so much the rest.

I wish mm3 was available for us. I messed with it when I had my Cummins, it's pretty user friendly.

Here recently I've looked at trying out HP tuners or PHP's Minotaur software. Most of it seems over my head.
05 ccsb, a1000 w/ rr cat 2 micron fuel water seperator, billet powermax,arp's, 170/30's, 7/16" pushrods, rcd valve springs, php ficm, boost & fuel press. with insight, 2.5" lift around with 315's, accufab intake elbow, custom traction bars, 08 rear diff. cover, 3.5" to 4" exhaust, apex manifold, jgs Bov, absolute delta line kit and infinity coolant filter, stage 3 tdp trans.

That's to bad. Switched my last truck (Common rail cummins) from a box tuner, to a custom HP tune file from I********, and what a difference. Zero smoke, much more power, lower egt's & excellent drive-ability.
