Swapped fuel filters today (Ford parts) - primed system with 8 key turns, started up fine. Ran for about 45 seconds then died. Tried to restart, it just turned like it was fuel starved and then stopped. Tried again, it turned for about 5 seconds then started right up. Fine ever since. Anything to worry about?

8 key turns, but for how long each time?

System only needs 6 key cycles, 20 seconds each

Ah - that may be it - my key turns were only as long as it took the plugs to warm up. Makes sense now. I started it a couple more times since and it’s fine. I’m just paranoid, as always.

Unsure if it common to all 6.7s, but my 17, when I KOEO - standing near the tank and filter, I can hear the fuel pump initiate and run 20 to 30 secs. I recycle the KOEO 5x more times to ensure pri filter is full and air purged.

Since the pump will stop after 30 seconds, I just make sure to run it that long on each key cycle. Then I listen for any significant noise. If there is still noise, I'll do more key cycles.
