Been searching and searching, but can't find a difinitive answer. What's the frame width y'all have on the rear half after the cab and behind the axle.

I would measure my own but its a few hundred miles away.

Looking at buying a flatbed from a 1998 ram 2500 for an awesome price and want to know if it fits. Thanks!

If you can fab at all, or know someone who can I wouldn't worry too much if it is the proper length.

I put a bed from a late model Dodge (05?) on my 91 F250 (same rear frame as an OBS)

It actually worked out very sweet because the Dodge frame is 42" and the Ford is 38, so the bed subrame went outside the hump over the rear axle, letting me mount the bed lower on the truck.

Take a look at Bradford's site bradfordbuilt.com and it explains the frame widths.

As a general rule the standard width for a chassis cab truck is 34" for all brands, and between 38" and 42" for a pickup. Be sure and check whether the Dodge is a chassis cab or had the bed removed.
