My truck starts out are 13.5---13-8volts in the morning. As I drive it. The Volta continuously drop to about 12.5 and sometimes to 11.99 at idle. Does make much difference if the ac is on or not.
My brother truck does the exact same thing .BRAND NEW MOTORCRAFT BATTERIES AND ALTERNATOR.. Didn't t change anything..
Anyone else heaver dealt with this same thing? I checked all the grounds ect. . I don't see anything wrong anywhere visually

Does the battery light come on?
I would check the connector. May need a new pigtail.
Check out the charge wire as well. Could even do the wiring upgrade.

No battery light..
What connector are you referring to?
Wiring upgrade.. You mean the battery cables?

I will add this too. When I upgraded all the wiring, I noticed the truck spin the starter a lot faster.

You leave the factory cables in place.

Have you had a chance to clean and inspect the alternator connection?
