Ive been having this issue for a while now. The truck has 87,000 miles and now is starting to buck violently when towing. I have a 5th wheel set up and a 3 car hauler.
It seems to do it on even a slight incline but only when rpms are low, if I smash the gas pedal is gone. Any idea you guys might have an idea what this could be? Thanks

Sounds trailer related to me. Have you checked your hitch? Axle alignment?

is the truck stock?

DO you have a way to monitor things like rail pressure?

Is completely stock. No way of tracking anything nor do I know what to look for. I hope you can elaborate, im new to the big diesel world.

Torque converter is locking and unlocking at low speeds. I’be never had it happen on a stock truck but in some high power 6.4l tunes it would do when when towing a lite load. It would buck violently

When I had the issue on my 6.4 the advice I was given was to stop feathering in the throttle and be a little more aggressive. And it worked just had to drive it different than I usually do. But on a bone stock truck, I’d say it might be on its way out.

You still have some warranty left. Take it in.
