New to 6.0's and having injectors done.....what else during??

I've been trying to read as much as I can, but it's a little overwhelming to be honest, with all the info. So before my guy gets started on doing my injectors, what else should be addressed while it's apart??

Truck is a 05 CCSB 4x4 with 196, 000 miles on it. It has currently been studded, has a cooler ****** done, has a coolant filter as well. Currently en route via Sunrise Ford, Riff Raff, and Full Force Diesel are the following parts:

Motorcraft Reman Injectors
Rocker Gasket Kit
Intake gasket Kit
Stand pipe's and dummy plug kit
Degas Bottle and hose
Blue Spring Kit
Fuel Filters
Ford OEM Oil cooler
Riff Raff Boot Kit

That's all i can think of off the top of my head, after the FFDP concert last night in Toledo, and driving back to NY today, I'm in need of some sleep. :blitzed:

Oil, oil filter, maybe the updated turbo drain.

Yup. 2 things I forgot...oil and filter.

Updated turbo drain?? Is that a Ford updated part??

I believe so. Also some ford grey rtv if you're going to have the hpop cover off for anything.

There is also a updated turbo feed pipe. They are ford update parts and sunrise should be able to whip out a pn.

If it's getting studded and fully apart
Machine/deck heads
Thermostat
Waterpump
Stc fitting (will come with new hpop cover gasket)
Updated oil feed tube as others mentioned (solid oem part)
Oem glow plugs



If your guy is planning on doing rocker box gaskets while he is doing injectors I would "get a new guy" plus your guy should know everything needed if he does these trucks often at all...clean truck btw

Sunrise reco'd the rocker gaskets actually, as I asked if anything was needed for the injector install.

STC is on my list, another one I forgot about. But the Glow plugs are not. Truck is already studded, so heads are staying put.

Might want to check the dummy plug o rings in the oil rails.

they should of meant valve cover gaskets not rocker box gaskets then. you cant replace rocker box gaskets unless you pull it apart.

Ok. Good call. I think the O-ring Kit I ordered has those in it.

I would assume so. I just called them what he did. I know some refer to valve covers as rocker covers, even in the car world.

Turbo oil feed, and drain tubes ordered, as well as glow plugs.
