Had a problem back in the summer with the a/c blowing out of my defrost only. So I replaced the vacuum pump and the vacuum relay/switch next to it. Now when I start my truck it will blow out of the defrost for 3-5 seconds then switch to the vent, any ideas?

Don't think I'd worry about 3-5 second delay. Lol
Disconnect vacuum pump, then use a tester to see if there's any slight leaks.

I'm not going to lose sleep over it but it used to never do this. A.c. would always come straight out of the vents right away.

Let the vacuum pump run longer before you start it. My truck always takes a couple seconds to redirect the air off the defroster.
