I have the ST Maxx as well and have been very happy with them. I have about 42k on them now and I think I can get another 15k easy.

I would stay away from AT Maxx myself, I got some in Oct 2014 and only got 26k and exactly a year out of them. Got them at Discount and when I showed how fast they were wearing they said they didn't have any type of warranty so I was just out of luck. Then I got some Toyo MT's in Oct 2015 and have them now and I'm at 36k miles and I'd guess I have maybe 5-8k left on them.
That's probably all you'll get out of some tires for these truck's as heavy as they are. I also tow a small trailer most days. Even tires with a warranty like the Toyo RT's or the ProComp MT2's only come with a 40k mile warranty.

Have you thought about 35" 19.5 tires? They'll last forever! Here they are next to 265's.

My Treadwrights came apart at 5000 miles on a road trip.

I guess he got lucky then he had way more that 5k on them with no issues, including multiple trips from KS to TX to MT and back again pulling about 10k

No, we got new tires on that truck and went with nitto G2s. Still weird how it happened, but honestly wouldn't be scared to run them again. It happened after I sold that truck to my uncle. To the tires defense, those tires used to be in my 2015 when I had king triple bypass shocks. Those tires went through hell and back.

Very cool. I looked into Rickson Wheels a long time ago. You can get fairly aggressive tires that last forever.
