Just wanted to give y'all a little update guys.

We have some issues with programming hopefully in the following week we will get it lined up we got the IPC programmed but we cannot get the CCM programmed. We are trying to fine the proper value data to enter in the CCM manually.

We also arent getting communication to the adaptive cruise switches so possibly we dont have the right part numbers on the switches.

But so far we have programmed with the IDS not Forscan since we cannot write IPC with Forscan. Here are a few photos

Since I have a aftermarket bumper the mounting will be different.

Did y’all get this figured out for the Super Duty? I’d like to know how to do it for my 17 F250.

Thanks,

Josh

Yes, we did. At the time this was completed, IDS and FORScan was needed. dsalas has a list of all of the module changes. They differ slightly from the F150 process.

Thanks for the reply. Can you provide any additional info? Would you mind if I called you on this? Also what is dsalas? Much appreciated.

So this can’t soley be programmed with forscan correct?

Until FORScan has the ability to change AB data from the PCM, No.

FORScan is capable of everything else, including the horizontal alignment for the radar.

Rumors are that FORScan will be capable of changing the PCM AB data in a future release - though the developers of FORScan will begin charging for the future release of the software.

MorganY, I have a 2017 F250 Lariat and have researched all the parts ($570) but I’m not clear on the PCM requirements and the CCM is not showing on FORScan. Is the distance sensor the same as the CCM? Also, when it comes to programing the PCM, did you have to enter a new VIN?

Great questions.

1. CCM is the same as the distance sensor. Cruise Control Module is the formal name.

2. CCM will not appear in FORScan until the module is installed in the truck

3. Yes, if nothing has changed with the newer systems. Last year when the first 2017 truck successfully integrated the post-assembly addition of the adaptive cruise control system, the PCM had to be programmed with a VIN from a truck that had the system installed on the assembly line.

Don't let it scare you, it's not as bad as it sounds. You will need Ford IDS to do this successfully - most dealers will not do this and will look at you like you're crazy.

I am willing to make arrangements to perform the change for you should you choose to move forward.

I wish I had gotten my truck without adaptive cruise. Its great for slamming on the brakes and accelerator after some damn door swinger cuts you off to slow race a Swift truck. I average 1.5mph better when I don't use it.

Thanks for the feedback. Typically, the problems you are experiencing can be mitigated or reduced from a physical vertical and horizontal IDS re-calibration.

Also, you have the option to revert to the standard cruise control in the vehicle settings.

Adding ACC to a 2017 Lariat with 8” screen

Adding adaptive cruise control to my new to me 2017 F350 Superduty Lariat.
Not sure if this has been done yet, but I’m definitely interested in getting it done. Can someone advise me what needs to be done please?
