The fuel is all the same anymore. Just make sure it comes from a clean source and not a rusty water filled tank.

:whs: and offroad fuel might not be as bad as you think. My friend was running it in his idi for a while, ran great, switched back to on road, the truck started harder and ran rougher.

I have run 5 or 6 tanks through my 08. Never bothered it. That was when it was new. I was north BC in a mine camp and it was the only fuel.

It was stated it's the exact same fuel ( this is true )
only taxes are different and it has a red dye

it won't make a truck start easier or harder or anything

but make sure it's a High volume seller and not sitting in the tank for months

What about waste oil? I have access to lots of used and filter transformer oil, which is just mineral oil. It's kinda yellowish looking. Boss runs it in his 6.7, no probs so far. Heard the 6.4 fuel systems are really sensitive.

Filled it up with mineral oil today. Half 1/4 tank a diesel and filler the rest up with oil. Will post results back. Boss has been running it in his 6.7 for 6 mounts no problem so we will see. Plus it's free :)

I am betting it's not the new ford motor but a cummins ??

I personally think your plying with fire to save some money

and it's going to get expensive ! red fuel is one thing crap out of oil changes is another.

Damn, so much hate. We filter it to 10 microns, then pumped into clean tank. They run it in company trucks and his personal. No problems. Figured I would give it a try.

And I can afford fuel, don't pay for that shot anyways. Just free to the company:) other then taxes.

Not that I run it, but I've looked into making/using w85 and everything I've read said it should be filtered to 2 microns. I'm no expert though... just an fyi

I don't know, I mean it looks clean as hell.

We get the oil test for work and it's the same as what they put in trucks, and it comes back clean.

Edit: I work for electrical maintenance company. So we filter oil all the time, and most of what we take out of transformers are clean.
