I have a 7.3 turbo diesel 2002..
This truck ran out of fuel, then next time it was driven it blew an HPOP line.
Since then it has not run right . it will idle for a long time but then die. Wait a few min and it will restart.
Go for a drive you get 1000 Dr then won't build power or rev up.
Setting still you can start the truck and step on throttle WOT revs to almost revline then will slowly loose RPM till it quits.
Pulled and cleaned injectors,
Replaced injector cups,
Replaced frame rail lift pump,
Tried running truck out of 5 gallon pail to frame rail pump.
New HPOP lines,
The only other thing to note was when the truck ran out of fuel the tank fill pipe was cut off. And lock cap was smashed.
Any ideas what's wrong with truck, or do I just do a motor swap and rebuild this engine from scratch?
