6.0 IPR wiring heat shield

Is the heat shield on the IPR wiring needed and if so, does anyone have the OEM part number for it? Considered aftermarket thermal jacketing but it won't fit like the OEM part. Thanks.

If a early truck with icp next to the ipr, I would cover it too.

No its not needed, but it doesn't hurt to have it. I know of a ton of 6 liters running around without them without any IPR issues. On my personal trucks I throw every single one right in the trash. The shield makes changing IPRs that much more difficult on the side of thr road without pulling the turbo. To be honest, I don't think I've ever had an IPR failure on a personal truck.
