Where does everyone mount their Hydra switch?

I'm thinking about biting the bullet and just getting one, but I'm not sure about mounting it. I like the inside of my truck to look as clean and simple as possible. I don't want to see extra wires and cables going to a switch.

Any pictures would be helpful too.

Mine is right beside the 4wd switch. The ribbon comes from under the crack and in. No hanging ribbon. Doesnt look cluttered or rednecked at all to me.

I'm working on a solution. Currently I have it hanging over my steering column, until I finish my more permanent solution.

I plan on 3D printing a new "case" that will allow me to panel mount the controller into my center console. We will see how it goes. Who knows.

The ribbon connects to the bottom of the switch correct? I'm guessing it is just fixed by two sided tape.

Need to work my ribbon over where its straight up and in, but I was in a hurry at the time and never went back to straighten it more. I like it there though.

If you have an android device, get the cyclops controller. Changes tunes through an app on the phone or tablet via Bluetooth and you don't have to mount the buttons and ribbon cable anywhere visible.

FWIW mine is mounted to the left of the steering wheel and it glares in the window quite bad at night.

Yea I know that but if I turn it down at night to the point where it won't glare in the window, I can't read it during the day. So I just deal with it. It's actually covering the hole where the PO put the ts6 switch.

I would go with the Cyclops... I love mine.

That being said I made a mount for mine that worked out pretty good...

Bumping this back up. Finally pulling the trigger on a hydra.

I'm looking at some of the DP Tuner switch mounts. Are the Hydra switch and DP Tuner F5 switch the same size?

So I guess the flush mount that DP offers wouldn't work with the hydra

Old thread... but I was looking for something else and saw this...

Couple options.

I actually got the dashmount off your Facebook page. Just haven't installed it yet. I've been running the side mount off the bottom gauge on my pillar. I just can't stand exposed wires/ribbon.

Pm if youd like one of these setups, Joe isn't on here as much. A lot of us use the Facebook Powerstroke Pages. I can get you invoiced / contacted with him.
