I just picked up a Escort 9500ix, the thing has already saved my azz 3 times, and the AutoLearn function is great. I also just picked up the rearview mirror mount pictured earlier, should be here Thursday.

The 9500ix picked up a new speedcam they just installed out this way too, from about 3/4 mile away.

Pretty bad when I fell like the company car needs a radar detector.

Trailblazer tail lights and the navigation units in Infinity SUV's/cars set off false lasers sometimes. I've also had the reflection of my HID's from a window straight ahead at a convenience store set it off for laser too.

how do tailights set off a laser?

Laser speed enforcement systems use a very specific light frequency. Laser dectectors alert when they pick up that light. Some types of taillights, and HID's can generate light at that wavelength. The Infiniti's use laser for their cruise control to determine what's ahead for safety reasons. Most detectors will throw an alert whenever this light frequency is encountered. The better jamming systems analyze the pulse rate of the signal and filter out the falses.

Goddamn you have to be a ***ing idiot. I never said you were trying to be a badass. Dear god, do you have any reading comprehension at all?! These damn sites fill up more and more with illiterate redneck retards who cant read...back away from the computer, get past the first page of "Reading Comprehension for Dummies", and then re-read what I posted.

Hey Jason, you know when he read this he just stared at his new fancy radar detector and the receipt like a mule staring at a new gate :morons:

Yeah hard to beat a laser lol. I have that turned off because of that reason and the airport downtown always goes off and I can't stand the noise lol

I swear I would detect every laser going through louisville lol I didn't know how to turn it off at first so I bought a different cord that had a switch built into it and would just turn it off

They are a waste of money IMO. I have run one for a few years and they have saved me(from what I could tell anyways). Now that I'm a deputy sheriff, I have caught many of speeders that had radar detectors. They get you into more trouble than they get you out of (false sense of security). That's just my opinion...

lcso,wcso,gcso,jcso,or lycso?
