Started on my headache rack for my '12 f150 5.5 bed. 3x3 tubeing turned 45* off of square. Not fun getting the correct angles. Ended up drawing a outline on the floor and laying It out. Came out almost perfectly symetrical

Would have to only weld sections at a time not continuous beads in order to keep them from warping right? They look really nice though!

Thanks, I spot welded every thing first then I ran my beads. Yes it warped, just means it wasn't a cold weld. Easy fix though, while it's still hot throw it in the vice and bend the tabs back. :toast:

oh they look great.. could have tack welded some thicker bar stock across the plate to keep it from warping though.. knock the bars off after its cooled and grind the tacks off...

Aaahhh, I'm not going to beat him up over it, lol.
There are heat marks on the top plate, and it doesn't take much to warp 1/2" plate.
Its a nice piece, for sure.
