WHAT UP PEEPS!ANY ONE DOING 5:13S ON A F250 WITH A 10.5 STERLING REAR AXLE? HAVING MAJOR ISSUES SHIMMING THE PINION AS THE NEW PINION NEEDS MORE SHIMS TO CORRECT DEPTH.I MEAN A LOT MORE. I HAVE DONE A TON OF 8.8 AXLES AND DANA BUT NEVER A 10.5 STERLING. NEW PINION THAT CAME IN SAYS ITS A 10.25 BUT SHOULD WORK ON A 10.5 AXLE. ANY FEED BACK?

All the gears I have done, minus the solid spacer ones, I used about the same thickness as the stock gears.
Also I have seen ones that were too far in and the pattern looked like it needed more, backed it out and pattern started to look normal.

Thanks for the feed back. Got it figured out. Apparently when swapping out to a 5:13 gear. You are also changing the ring to a 10.25. This requires the pinion for a 1/4" spacer to correct the depth on the new 10.25 pinion. FYI, they do not make a 10.5 gear set in a 5:13. The pictures show before and after the shim difference and also shows how short the new pinion is. Truck runs great as I am running 44 swampers on it.
