I have a 1997 f250 powerstroke that just turned 216K. The truck runs great and pulls like a locomotive. My question is, what should my next step be? I pull a 33', 9500lb travel trailer. I would like to get more torque and power for pulling but also be reliable and fun to drive when I'm not towing, which isn't often.

Current mods:

Wicked wheel 2
4inch straight pipe exhaust no muffler with 3inch down pipe
DIY intake with 6637 filter
Edge evolution
EGT, Boost, tranny temp gauges
Suncoast e40d tranny

I was thinking intercooler and changing to a 6 position chip.

Any input is appreciated. This is not a race truck or a truck that gets driven regularly so I would like to make sure that it will be reliable when towing

Thanks

Custom tuned TS chip first. Rest depends on your budget. You could do a set of 160/30 or 180/80 injectors and an upgraded turbo (s300 series) along with an intercooler. That would be a setup that is more fun, but would still be great for towing

Some 160/30 - 180/100s paired with a s364.5 axe and an Honey badger jr or T500 hpop, SD intercooler, decent e-fuel setup, and youd be set. I personally had 175/100s and the BASB (version of the s364), upgraded valve springs and push rods, and it towed like a dream, had more than enough power to pull our 31' travel trailer at ANY speed you desired, too fast if ya wanted, and never had to stare at the egt guage, my temps stayed very manageable (low if you ask me), I loved that truck for towing

06-6.0l, CCLB 4X4, studded, reworked heads, egr gone, cab reroute, blue spring mod, 6.4 banjos, updated dummy plugs, stand pipe, and stc fitting; New oil cooler, New ipr, New icp, atlas 40 FICM, powermax turbo, and Geerhead tunes, 325/65R18
