My 97 F250 7.3 came with a Skyjacker lift on it. I noticed the plate on top of the leaf springs is rotated 90 degrees compared to the stock one (picture #2)

I assume the plate/ubolts on my truck are part of the Skyjacker kit but why would they design it so it hits the bump stops? Do you think I could just cut that lip off?

Rotate the ubolt plate. It's installed wrong. It won't hit the bump stop if you rotate it.

But the problem is one direction, the holes are 3.5" apart, the other way is 4.5", so there shouldn't be any way the ubolts fit the other way right?

The ubolts are currently in the 3.5" apart holes. When I measure the ubolts near the axle, it's about 4" apart, so maybe the ubolts will spread and fit in the 4.5" holes?

I'm surprised they fit the u bolts in that way. They must have really smushed them together lol

Yeah I do not understand how someone could think that was the right way...
luckily I was able to get the ubolts out and flip the plate so back to normal now
