A general rule of thumb is to always replace them in a pair as the older battery can drain the new battery during "truck off" cycle. Then in short order you will have bought 3 instead of 2.

Ya I have always replaced both if one is bad. I just have to buy the other battery out of pocket. Not warranty covered
