03 intake manifold

Has anyone put a 03 manifold on 04 and up trucks? Does the balance tube make a difference? Wanting to port and polish mine and found a cracked 03 manifold on eBay for 20bucks shipped. Wanted to know if I should buy it or just use my 04 manifold and save myself 20 bucks?

It will bolt right up. On ported intake setups the balance tube is cut off. But be sure to put a piece of metal to brace the manifold before cutting, they are known to warp. But it may be easier to just port your 04 manifold. That way you don't have to worry as much! Hope this helps!

Save yourself $20. The crossover doesn't help and if you kept on it would limit you in turbo setups. Also if your hpop ever took a crap you'd have to remove the manifold to get to it... = more work. But as said, it will bolt on. Probably could post a wtb ad on here and get a late 04 n up mani if you're wanting one to work on so your truck isn't apart too long. Most shops have a pile or two laying around.
