right side oem mirror cap

hey guys

i cracked the right side of my mirror cap on top. I can just replace that right? Where is the cheapest and best place to get a oem at? Mine is black and not chrome, also how hard is it to replace?

Might be wrong but from what I've heard If it's black it's a one piece mirror like I said I could be wrong

You can take them apart, i did it to mine when I painted them.

my body shop called another body shop and said if its all textured the top cap will not come off

Look at the 5th picture down in the link I sent and see if your mirror cap has the same texture as the outside border of my mirror. If so you can take it a part.

Oh...Yes that cap is part of molded to the back piece of the mirror. You can take the whole mirror apart and should be only have to order the back plastic piece instead of a whole new assembly.

anyone know where to get a good chrome or painted cap besides ebay? Or a ebay dealer where the caps fit good

Like someone said earlier sunrise ford can get pretty much anything your looking for. My mirrors have the chrome caps on them and I ordered the grey PTM caps and front grille assembly from Brittain at sunrise. I've ordered a good bit from him so far.
