Someone sabotaged my DEF

Out of no where I get a CEL while driving so I pull up the code. States there's low pressure in the reduction system. I thought maybe the DEF I put in a few weeks ago was bad or something.

I took it to my service director Lee and later he send me a photo of what looks like oil in my def tank. Luckily insurance is going to cover it under a vandalism claim.

Now I need to look into a way to lock the fuel door.. Anyone ever have this happen?

Someone dumped oil or something in the def tank. They're going to keep a sample for me so I can see what it is.

As long as it isn’t FUEL oil, your claim will probably stick.

It is just a guess right now as to what was put inside the tank. Hopefully I will get the truck back tomorrow or Saturday and see what was in the tank.

Maybe it's just the lighting/angle of the pic but the color looks like fuel to me....did anyone borrow your truck?

Only my family drives it but rarely does it get fueled by anyone other than me. My wife and boys are super diesel smart and they know how to fuel it. The only time it has been touched by anyone other than me is when I had the fuel filters replaced. I guess I'll never know who or how...
