I just weight my 2017 crewcab f250 with my toyhauler. Combined it came in at i22,500 combined and I am over the rear axle by 400 lbs. this is before my 4 seat rzr is in it and 90 gallons of water in it. I figured with that stuff, I would be close to 25K. Am I in dually territory?

You pretty much answered your own question. It’d definitely handle the weight better, pull a bit better, and likely be more relaxing to drive with said load.

I’d go dually for sure.

Thanks fellas. I just bought a dually this morning. Since I live in Commiefornia I found a 2006 dually with 45k miles. It's too much of a pain in the ass to ****** newer trucks then smog every two years. Going to use the savings to buy a new ranger when they come out for 2019 as my commuter. I already have an appt to bulletproof egr, oil cooler, stud, blue coil spring, etc in a couple weeks. Also going to put a bulletproof ficm on it

I personally think a 2017 F-250 will tow better then a 2006 dually...

From a power perspective, there is no doubt the 2017 is better. However, in CA they have begun pulling over overweight RVs and red tagging them. The have done this at the Pismo Dunes and have scaled axle weights. With the F250, I was over weight without water or the rzr by 400lbs on the rear axle. I just didn't want to take a chance and wreck a vacation.
