I'd like to bypass selector valve due to only having a front tank. I have bought the truck with no rear and plan on auxillary tank when done. The selector valve gets hot to the point that rain water touched it it would sizzle due to being hot.id just like to remove and keep the gauge working for front tank if I can while I bypass this valve. Could you please include picture if you have some. Thank you for your help in advance

I don't have any wiring diagrams handy, but you can bypass it and make the gauge read.
I would just run some new fuel line, instead of reusing what's there.

At the selector valve electrical connector harness plug:

For the front tank, jumper

pin 5 wire 25 Yellow/White to pin 4 wire 673 Dk Blue/Yellow.

That will jumper the lead from the fuel gauge to the front sender lead. The rest you don't care about.
