crank engine, engine fires, dies. no stumbling, just like a key off DIE.

FRP act vs desired is spot on, even when engine dies my frp hangs at about ~5500 for a few seconds.

SYNC stays good until engine makes its way back down until almost 0 RPM

blocked off EGR, do not suspect stuck valve choking out motor.

no exhaust restriction. full weight truck.

unplugged all 5v sensors, no change.

IF you press throttle on cranking it will stay running and then for the rest of the day it is fine.

new HPFP and harness.

What did you do? Was it a new pump harness then the start and die? Could be air? If not the connectors at the pump came loose? Did u put the blue zipties in? How’s your maf reading at idle?

No need in looking at maf while idling... This is a no start condition

:bowfast::bowfast:Way out of my league. Just a thought. KOEO. EB, MAP, and Baro? I think should all be about the same... Maybe a dumbass sensor????? Have had couple. JUST a thought?

Anyone experience this because of excessive return? I've got fuel dribling from the head/injector return line when disconnected from the return check valve

Does it have egr throttle plate still? I cant remember what you said, maybe its sticking, until it gets hot enough and ungums itself?

Starter hooked backwards spinning the engine backwards pushing fuel the opposite way?
Since it’s gear driven
Happened to someone I know.

It's still there and I watch it while cranking and it stays open and has a nice kick back, so not that.

Initial guess would be worn injectors, BUT im not a 6.4 expert. Wear obviously causes excessive return

Issue is I do not call what I'm seeing excessive return, just a few drops while cranking.

I guess I could take em out and run em on the bench and see how they flow...

Did this start once it got cold out, or had it been goimg on for a bit before hand? I know its been kicking your ass for a bit.
