im trying to find out if a can shim the armature in my 2002 7.3 I have been told I have ADs and that it has to be machined I this true. input needed trying cheap fix I thought if anybody knows it's u guys thanks for having me ps snow performance sucks

Shim takes up slack, machining adds slack.
Just pull the injector apart and hit it with a side grinder. One blip equals .001. Close enough.
Seriously, send it to an injector shop, spend the money once and do it right.

That is one of the worst things you could do. But then that's how some of your big injector shops do it.

you can put them in but you will end up with a jacked up set of injectors. About a third of our business is spent fixing these messes caused by other shops, which are also happen to be roughly half of your site sponsors here.
