First of all happy New Years I have a 2003 SD 6.0 had to change high oil pressure pump and the truck started right up but had no boost I unplug the map sensor and it will show boost 3 to 8 psi on my Edge chip what could be causing this problem

Have you checked the rubber hose that goes from the map sensor to the intake manifold AND poked through the nipple on the intake manifold to make sure its clear? The hose should fit tight at both ends and have no rips or tears. I would also blow through it to make sure there is no carbon buildup inside.

To check the solenoid, you have to have a way to command it. You remove it, put your thumb slightly depressing the plunger, and when you activate it it will vibrate. The solenoids dont typically go bad though. Have you verified that the turbo is actually spinning? I chased my tail on one that had a siezed turbo, because the center housing was fairly new. I forgot the kiss method.

Try pumping 15-20 psi of regulated air into the map sensor with it plugged in, see if it changes. Could have a bad sensor. Dont put more than 20psi into it, you could damage it with unregulated 120+ psi of air
