I have had this piece for a while today but got around to installing it today.

The main reason I wanted to do this was a little extra protection for the inejctors from unfiltered oil at startup. Here is a phot of the screen compared to a human hair.

Looks good Tom. I can't believe how fine that screen is, do you think you'll have any issues with it becoming clogged though?

Looks good Sir!!

I just put one of these kits in my pickup to.. I did for more oil flow and the easy of hooking up the second pump, and for the filter..

How long did it take to polish the HPOP resevor/cover???

davey99ps: the newer 7.3L use that style of filter/gasket as this kit.. Infact it is a ford product. So I think they would be fine..

I did that one rainy weekend. It was actually kinda fun to do. You just have to work your way through the sanding paper grits. I also did the compressor side of my 38R turbo. I am not sure anymore on the time frame.

What grit did you start with and what grit did you finish with??

Even half way looks better then factory.. just getting rid of the cast marks make a big differance!!!

I think I started with a 36 grit disk on the die grinder and worked up to 2000 grit with the vibrating sander. Then a little work with the buffing wheels. It really does not show that much on the HPOP reservoir but does look cool on the compressor housing. I got the idea because my old TN turbocharger was polished.

Adam's metal polishes are the best that I have ever used and the easiest also.
