Hello, newbie to the site and newbie to owning a power stroke


Radio wasn't working in my 2016 F250 XLT so I unhooked the battery and hooked it back up and everything was back to normal, but a wrench icon popped up on my dash. My DEF is below half, but is that what's causing it? Or is it something else? Maybe the battery is lose, but it cranks right up, some sort of pump was moving when I was messing with the battery

You are going to need something to read the code from the OBD port. Some auto parts stores do this for free if you don't have a tuner or CTS type device already. Also try disconnecting the batteries again for 10 minutes with the headlights turned on. It might reset the code.
