Is my block cracked?

Thanks for all the responses. I'm currently on hold with the truck and thinking through my options. I'm leaning towards throwing my rotating assembly into a known good block and going from there. The problem I have is I'm not certain it's a cracked block. I'm relying on a shop to do the work because, as usual, I'm on the road and living out of hotel rooms. I'm heavily leaning towards just getting the truck up and running reliably and forgetting about HP goals until I can do the work myself. I'm sick and tired of throwing money and parts at this truck based on someone else's diagnosis.

It's looking more and more like a cracked block/head. Dynoproven and Swamp's are both saying 2-3 months to put my rotating assembly into a known good block. I don't have that much time. Any suggestions? The truck is currently at Dyno-proven and I'm in Akron, Oh.

Really frustrated with this whole thing.

Either give Dyno Proven the go ahead to diag the truck until they know what it is for sure, and if it is a cracked block and you do need to swap your rotating into another block you can deal with it then.

Find a used long block and swap that into your truck, then leave the motor with them and let them take 3 months on it.

That's way more $$ than I'm willing to spend. It's about $3K for them to R&R it twice. And they've been diag'ing the hell out of it.

Here's a couple of Blocks I saw close by. If I'm not mistaken all blocks 99.4 thru 03 7.3 are the all the same. Anyhow, just a few post's I found of some blocks, some close and some a bit further.
https://bakersfield.craigslist.org/pts/6017487102.html ($900)
https://modesto.craigslist.org/pts/6050725395.html ($ Need to call)
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/pts/6065634589.html ($1000)
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/pts/6064691889.html (Make offer)
https://reno.craigslist.org/pts/6058612238.html ($600)
On Edit: I just talked to this guy just now on the phone. He's in Paso Robles. It's on CL. Complete Running engine 2000 7.3 Powerstroke w 200K, he's asking $1,500 and it sounds like he might even go lower. https://slo.craigslist.org/pts/6067828360.html

OHH, I didn't know that. It still said El Segundo Ca on your location. Did you move to Ohio, or are you there just for work and then coming back? to Ca. I'll keep looking. I would reach out to Nate. He's located in Bremen Ohio and he's a real nice guy to talk to, if you don't already know him.

I'm supposed to be heading down to DynoProven to pick my truck up by end of April. I'm from bolivar Ohio (15 min south of canton). If the truck is actually done I could possibly take a block down for you.

There's a guy that comes down to the dealership down the road repairs this issue you're having. A mechanic there who does some work for me on the side said that for some reason these blocks will find or make cracks. This guy comes in and lays out tools like a DR and he can drill and use some type of magnet and powder method. I know they test welds this way. Anyways he fixes the cracks and good as new. I'm sure some of you on here know what I'm talking about.

Talked with Carson Stauffer today. I'm arranging transportation to get the truck shipped to him in a couple of weeks. He had a much better turnaround time than other shops I talked to.

Booked a shipping company today. Carson will get the truck on the 14th and start work on it on the 17th. Can't wait to get it back on the road. Sick and bleeping tired of driving a tiny little Altima coupe with all the get up and go of a Metro Geo.

If my tax return is good enough, it just might leave with compounds.
