Hey guys, I've done a bunch of searching but can't really find what I'm looking for. My fiancé has an 06 6.0, the buyer backed out of purchasing it so he's chosen to keep it but he wants to do a front end conversion to the 6.7L front end.
Found a few threads on here such as the FX40 thread where he posted pictures of his progress, and saw a few threads on powerstroke.org for 6.4 front end conversion.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a thread where a detailed step by step kind of process was posted? We have a good idea of what we need to purchase; obviously a front clip, grille support and what not... just kind of overwhelmed where to start haha.

If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great, thanks!

We are planning this for our excursion project.

Parts needed:
Hood
Wiper cowl
Wiper motor
Fenders
Lights
Bumper
Grille
Good hinges

We haven't gotten into starting the Convertion yet as motor issues have become more important at the momen but that list should get you started

Lead Foot Diesel Performance had a couple 7.3 powerstrokes in their shop where the customer changed to the 6.7 front clip

Thanks so much guys, we will defiantly figure it out and when we tear into it I'll start a thread - I'm like a Chinese lady when it comes to taking pictures so a future thread will be detailed.
When it comes to mounting and what not, are the fenders, hood basically bolt on with some exceptions?

I'm looking forward to your conversion I want to do the same.

Haha not mine. Maybe in the future I'll switch my 6.4 front end to 6.7 but I like the look of my 6.4

We'd be doing it on my fiancés 6.0 :clapping:

I'll keep ya'll posted, just sourcing parts right meow

Big Mike's Truck Stuff in Defiance, Ohio:

Brand new OEM take off parts as chassis used to build armored trucks.

$2,000 gets the following:

1- 14/15' reg cab with firewall cut out, no steering wheel. Usually inner rocker cut out also.interior trim included many times.

1- complete hood assembly
1-front bumper (usually chrome)
1-grill(usually chrome)
2 front fenders complete

OEM headlights available for $400, full power mirrors , $375-450 pair.

You can sell new cab or roof off it for $500-800, then sell parts off old truck to offset costs.

Nice conversions. I also thought about doing this swamp to my new 6.0 but thinking I might just do the cheap route and convert my '03 to the 07 Harley facia...like I've done in the past.

G'luck to Original poster in your fiance's build. Newer truck for a cheaper price. I like where your heads at.

This appears to be a decent deal and good thought process, just coming up with that $2,000 up front to get ball rolling plus paint.

Defiantly, and... I don't know if anyone else feels this way but I love the sound of the 6.0 A LOT better than the 6.7 or even my 6.4.

Agreed- nothing better than straight pipe 6Oh turbo :) I actually have a few parts for a 6.7 conversion but don't think I have the funds to buy the rest and make it happen right now. Although- i know it would be well worth it in the end. G'luck.

Guys, how are you uploading pictures from your phone on here? I think I've seen a few people do it?
