Personally, and this isn't a bash at RCD by any means but I would just stick with the Garrett Powermax, its a little smaller but its also $800 cheaper.

Id say it'll be a little slower, it would probably compare to a 64/70 non vgt.

Not even close, I had a 64/70 on my 05 and my best friend kyle ran the 68. Both with 190's. Off the line he straight out MURDERED me. Hands down. My truck even had gears!

Spools like a powermax, barely any difference!

On a street truck I would take a 68mm Powermax over a Nonvgt anyday. A couple guys have been running the 68mm with 155's. INSANE driveabiltiy for guys who tow alot. If I hadnt sold my 05, it would have gotten a 68pmx like Josh tried to talk me into in the first place..

Where are you getting the 190's?

I don't have experience with the 68mm but I know the powermax was completely driveable. What ever happened to keeping this truck stock? LOL

A long time ago I put an 03 turbo on an 07 with industrial injection 190's with IDP tuning. Truck was able to tow 12k, daily drive, etc.... and ran 12.4's on nitrous. Oh, it was a CCLB on 35's and weighed 8200lbs.

Injectors are from Dozers (Warren Diesel injectors)

Thanks JJ!

headgaskets are toast Marty. Cab's gotta come up anyway....

May be late Feb or so before this gets done. Just getting ducks in a row.

I found this that compares the stock turbo to the actual garret powermax, not the modded RCD unit. Does RCD even mod them from the powermax or are they just using that name?

The specs are as follows:
Comp Wheel=stock IND is 56.8, p-max is 63.5
stock EXD is 81.6, p-max is 88

Turbine Wheel= stock IND is 72.5, p-max is 72.5
stock EXD is 64, p-max is 66.5

A/R is .90 on the powermax.

Jake Kelly @ KDP is running one with 225s IIRC - everyone that I know that has been in his truck says it runs awesome. Maybe give him or Matt a call for more info on it.
